Chana dal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Mustard seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Cumin seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Turmeric powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Mix masala | 1 Teaspoon | |
Curry leaves | 15 | |
Coriander leaves | To Taste | |
Jaggery | 1 Teaspoon | |
Kokum | 5 | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
1. Boil & churn the chana dal and keep it ready.
2. In a pan, add oil, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves & coriander leaves.
3. Add mix masala, turmeric powder, jaggery to the churned dal.
4. Add the dal to the tadka and mix everything well.
5. Add salt and kokum.
SERVING:
6. Bring the dal to a boil and serve hot!
