This slow cooker recipe of Butter Chicken is amazing and easy!
Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Onion | 1 | |
Chicken thighs | 4 | |
Mild curry powder | 2 Tablespoon | |
Tandoori paste | 3 Tablespoon | |
Garam masala | 2 Teaspoon | |
Tomato paste | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Dried cardamom | 1 Teaspoon | |
Coconut milk | 400 Milliliter | |
Greek yoghurt | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
1. In a frying pan heat the oil and butter and bring to a medium heat. Add the curry powder, cardamon powder, tandoori paste, tomato paste, garam masala and cook for 2 minutes. Now add the chicken and brown slightly.
2. Add the coconut milk with the yoghurt and half a cup of water. Pour the whole lot into the slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-7 hours.
SERVING:
3. Serve with Naan bread or basmati rice and top with fresh coriander/cilantro (optional).
