A lip-smacking Indian dish.

Ingredients

For marinade:
Garam masala 3 Teaspoon
Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Ground ginger 2 Teaspoon
Ground coriander 2 Teaspoon
Lemon juice 2 Teaspoon
Tomato paste 2 Teaspoon
Plain yogurt 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Chicken thighs 1 Kilogram , quartered
For butter chicken:
Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
Brown onion 1 , halved (thickly sliced)
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm) , crush
Cinnamon sticks 2
Cardamom pods 3 (bruised)
Smoked paprika powder 2 Teaspoon
Chicken stock 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Tomato passata/Tomato puree 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Pure cream 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Steamed rice 4 Cup (64 tbs) (to serve)
Butter stick 1/2
