The Joy Division Gin Cocktail is attributed to Phil Ward at Death Co. in New York. But this flavour profile harkens back to the birth of the Martini Cocktail in the late 1890's. It has orange undertones with a little bit of an absinthe kick. I first had this in Toronto and it was listed as the Age Of Consent Cocktail... an obvious nod to the whole New Order Joy Division band connection.
