1915 Vs. 1929 El Presidente Rum Cocktail
Welcome back to Cocktails After Dark. Today we're going to do a rum cocktail called El Presidente, and we're going to do it two ways, the first way we're going to do it is as it was published in 1915 in a cocktail manual in Havana. El Presidente rumcocktail number two is
from 1929 also from a cocktail book published in Havana Cuba.
Ingredients
| 1915 el presidente cocktail: | ||
| Orange liqueur | 3 Drop | |
| Angostura bitters | 3 Drop | |
| Grenadine | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Orange twist | 1 | |
| Dolin blanc | 2 Ounce | |
| Light cuban rum | 1 Ounce | |
| 1929 el presidente cocktail: | ||
| Light cuban rum | 1 1/2 Ounce | |
| Dolin blanc | 1/2 Ounce | |
| Grenadine | 1 Teaspoon (use as required) |
Directions
MAKING:
1. Stir with ice, strain into cocktail glass.
2. Garnish with an orange twist and a cherry.
