One of Olive Garden's most popular dishes is their grilled chicken and Alfredo sauce. It is hard to resist this tasty dish. You don't need to leave home to make this one, you can make this recipe at home.
Dry pasta | 8 Ounce | |
To season the chicken breasts | ||
Chicken breasts | 2 Medium (Boneless and skinless) | |
Olive oil | 2 Teaspoon | |
Salt | To Taste | |
Pepper | To Taste | |
For the alfredo sauce | ||
Heavy cream | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Butter | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Stick) | |
Parmesan cheese | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , grated (1/2 to 3/4 cup) | |
Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon (Optional) |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
2. Brush with olive oil and then season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
3. Cook pasta according to package directions and set aside.
MAKING
4. Grill 5 to 7 minutes on the first side and then flip the chicken over and grill for another 3 to 4 minutes, or until cooked through. When done, remove and set aside.
5. Prepare the Alfredo sauce by combining the cream and butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Do not let the mixture come to a boil, but heat until small bubbles begin to form.
6. Add the Parmesan cheese and whisk quickly.
7. Add the garlic powder and continue to whisk. The sauce will thicken after a minute or two.
8. Cut the chicken breasts into strips.
SERVING
9. Serve by placing half the pasta on each plate, then topping it with sauce and a sliced chicken breast.
NOTE
You may saute the chicken breasts on a olive oil greased pan or grill, as desired.
