Every year, I make a Blackcurrant jam, but with the cold spring this year, the crop wasn't as large as in previous years and I decided to try something different - a sweet and intense Blackcurrant syrup! This great syrup led to many other recipes, including this delicious Blackcurrant Mojitos. A backyard BBQ was made that much more special with these delicious drinks!
Lime quarters | 3 | |
Mint leaves | 8 | |
Sugar | 1 Teaspoon | |
Syrup | 1 Tablespoon (Black current syrup) | |
Bacardi liquor/White rum | 1 1/2 Ounce | |
Club soda | 200 Milliliter | |
Ice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
1. Add the lime, mint leaves and sugar as crush together using a mojito muddler.
2. Add the syrup, add ice and rum and top with soda.
SERVING:
3. Stir and drink.
