Today I want to do a tequila cocktail, and one of the difficulties I have with tequila is: I like looking through really old cookbooks - if you haven't noticed - and when I look through old books about cocktails, tequila never shows up, mezcal never shows up. These two distinct alcohols from Mexico don't start showing up in cocktail books until the 1970s.
|Tequila||1 1/2 Ounce|
|Fresh lemon juice||22 Milliliter|
|Maple syrup||15 Milliliter|
|Lemon wheel||3 (for garnich)|
|Ice cubes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Combine all ingredients into a shaker, add ice.
2. Shake vigorously and double strain into a coupe glass.
3. Garnish with lemon wheel.
4. Serve and enjoy!
