Welcome Friends! Welcome back to "After Dark" where we are exploring cocktails. Today I want to do a tequila cocktail, and one of the difficulties I have with tequila is: I like looking through really old cookbooks - if you haven't noticed - and when I look through old books about cocktails, tequila never shows up, mezcal never shows up. These two distinct alcohols from Mexico don't start showing up in cocktail books until the 1970s.
Tequila | 1 1/2 Ounce | |
Limoncello | 1 Ounce | |
Fresh lemon juice | 22 Milliliter | |
Maple syrup | 15 Milliliter | |
Lemon wheel | 3 (for garnich) | |
Ice cubes | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
1. Combine all ingredients into a shaker, add ice.
2. Shake vigorously and double strain into a coupe glass.
3. Garnish with lemon wheel.
SERVING:
4. Serve and enjoy!
