Today we are doing a cocktail recipe from 1937 called 'Chartreuse Cocktail', and the recipe calls for Bourbon or Straight Rye with Chartreuse and dry Vermouth. This is from Hyman Gale Gerald F. Marco: The How And When 1937 pg. 102
Bourbon whiskey | 1 Ounce | |
Green chartreuse | 1/4 Ounce (scant) | |
Dry vermouth | 1/4 Ounce | |
Ice cubes | 1 Cup (16 tbs) |
MAKING:
1. Stir all the ingredients with ice.
2. Strain into a cocktail glass.
3. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
SERVING:
