In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Holiday Turkey Salad. This is a great way to use turkey or chicken leftover from a holiday meal.
Sliced almonds | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , toasted | |
Mayonnaise | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon (1/4 | |
Ground black pepper | 1 Dash | |
Chopped cooked turkey | 2 Cup (32 tbs) , finely chopped | |
Finely chopped celery | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Finely chopped green onion | 2 Tablespoon (only the tops) | |
Diced pimiento | 1 Tablespoon |
MAKING
1. In a bowl, combine almonds, mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, pepper, turkey, celery, green onion, and pimiento. Toss well.
2. Transfer to a nice serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to use.
SERVING
3. Serve on lettuce leaf and enjoy!
TIPS
You can use the salad as bread or sandwich spread or as stuffing for pastry puff.
