Surf And Turf Dinner -Steak And Fried Oysters With Love Butter

Surf and turf steak and oysters recipe that incorporates THREE aphrodisiacs and if that doesn't get ya laid, well, perhaps you should look into improving your technique. )

Ingredients

Softened butter 3 Tablespoon
Olive oil 1 Tablespoon
Minced fresh basil 1 Tablespoon
Lemon zest 1/2 Teaspoon
Honey 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
Strip steaks 2 1/2 Pound , fat trimmed
Oysters 6 , shelled, oyster liquor reserved
Egg 1
Tabasco 1 Dash
Panko crumbs/Crushed crackers 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Cayenne pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Lemon wedges 2 (for serving)
Vegetable oil 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY:

1.For basil butter, combine butter, oil, basil, honey, lemon zest, salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix well until well blended.

2.Wrap like a log using a cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

MAKING:

3.Drain oyster and reserve the liquor.

4.Beat egg with tabasco and reserved liquor.

5.In another bowl, mix crumbs with cayenne.

6.Dredge oysters in egg mixture and crumb mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.

7.Season steaks with salt and pepper.

8.Heat a skillet for 1 minute and place steaks on it.

9.Cook for 8 minutes (4 minutes per side).

10.Transfer to a plate and add basil butter to the skillet. Pour hot butter and pan drippings over steaks and allow to stay warm.

11.Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 375F.

12.Fry breaded oyster for 2 minutes (1 minute per side) or until golden brown.

13.Drain excess oil using paper towels.

14.Top steaks with basil butter and fried oysters.

15.Garnish with lemon wedges.

SERVING:

16.Serve and enjoy!
