Yengai Powder is used for making yengai curry and a dish called vangi bhat .. and vangi bhat is a main course south indian dish here is how you make the powder: take two measures of red chillies, one measure of dhaniya, one measure of chana dall, one measure of udad dall, about 5 or 6 large sticks of cinnamon( dal chini patta ), a teaspoon of hing, a teaspoon of black pepper corns, and one teaspoon of clovesroast them together till the chillies can crack grind to a fine powder and store away for use later
