Gary House, prepares the first in a series of three plank cooking recipes, Cedar Plank Lemon Zested Asparagus! Easily grill asparagus on a cedar plank with just a few ingredients and this simple technique will delight your palette!
Extra virgin olive oil | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
Fresh dill | 1 Teaspoon | |
Kosher salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Garlic cloves | 2 , minced |
GETTING READY
Soak cedar plank for 1 hr in water.
Place smooth side of cedar plank on pre-heated 350F grill, until the surface is slightly charred.
Coat the charred surface lightly with oil.
Place asparagus, oil, lemon juice, dill, kosher salt and garlic into reclosable plastic bag, allow to marinate for about an hour.
MAKING
Place marinated asparagus on cedar plank. Place cedar plank on grill over direct heat. Grill for 15 min or until tender.
SERVING
Serve with your choice of beverage.
