Pickled Fish

Pickled fish is a culinary preparation in which fillets of fish are first soaked in salted water for a period of 24-48 hours and then pickled, using ingredients such as vinegar, sugar and pickling spice. Pickled Fish has a long shelf life, and the primary reason for the invention of Picked Fish was to store the fish without spoilage for a long period of time. The fish is allowed to soak in the brine for a period of 3 weeks so that the brine can flavor the fish inside out. Very often onions are also used as an ingredient in pickling fish. Some of the Pickled Fish Recipes include Fried Pickled Fish, Lemon Pickled Herring and Silver Satin Pickled Fish.
