Alexis , 40 is a native of Union City, N.J. currently lives in Indiana, has a passion for Latino flavors. Alexis Hernandez graduated with a BA in Theology, from The Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Alexis Hernandez worked as interior decorator for many years where he developed his skills in designing home and offices. After leaving corporate job he moved in to his own family farm of 65 acres. Alexis Hernandez dreamt of becoming food chef and took a two-year culinary degree from Sullivan University’s National Center for Hospitality Studies. Chef Alexis keeps on mixing different ingredients and cooking methods making unique recipes for epicurean delight. Alexis is a part-time food writer, filling up a food-journal kept with him all the time. The work of Alexis Hernandez was recognized when he got selected by Food Network for their programme “The Next Food Network Star”

Alexis left his corporate assignment coming back to his family farm in Indiana. The book on home plantation “Better Homes & Gardens: New Garden Book” gave him the broader idea how to grow a variety of plants. What does this food chef grows in his farms – he grows most of the year a variety of heirloom tomatoes, Brussels sprouts, chicory, Kentucky Bibb lettuce, carrots, Chioggia beets, blueberries, strawberries, green beans, peas and onions.
