Whole Wheat Waffles

Whole wheat flour 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Baking powder 1 Tablespoon
Brown sugar 2 Tablespoon
Salt 1/4 Teaspoon
Eggs 2 , separated
Skim milk 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs)
Vegetable cooking spray 1



1. In a medium size bowl add the first 4 ingredients. Mix well.

2. Add milk and egg yolk. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and stir to get a smooth consistency.

3. Beat the egg whites till stiff white peaks are formed. Fold this in the batter.

4. In a 8-inch square waffle iron add cooking spray to coat it well. Preheat the iron.

5. In this hot iron pour 1 cup of the batter.

6. Bake for 5 minutes till the steaming ceases. Repeat the same process till the whole batter is exhausted.


7. Serve whole wheat waffles at room temperature.
