Ham And Cheese Waffles

Savory Belgian waffles with ham, cheese and chives. Ham and cheese waffles are delicious for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Serve them with fried eggs, Hollandaise sauce, or flavored compound butter.


Unsalted butter 8 Tablespoon ((1 stick))
Whole milk/2 % milk 1 3/4 Cup (28 tbs)
All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Dry yeast 1/4 Ounce
Eggs 2
Grated sharp cheddar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Minced ham 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Minced chives/Green onion tops 2 Tablespoon



In a saucepan, melt butter and add milk to it.

In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, yeast and whisk well. Add milk mixture and egg to the bowl and mix well until the ingredients blends well.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.

Preheat the oven to 200F.


Add cheese, ham and chives to refrigerated mixture.

Cook according to waffle maker instructions.

Pop into oven rack at 200F for upto 30 minutes to keep waffles warm.


Serve with fried eggs, hollandaise sauce or compound butter and enjoy!
