Red cabbage head 1 Pound (Small)
Tart apple 1 Large , not pared
Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
Onion 1 Medium , chopped (0.5 Cup)
Red currant jelly 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon


Shred cabbage.

Halve, core, and dice apple.

Melt butter or margarine in large skillet; stir in cabbage, apple onion, jelly, water, lemon juice, and salt until well blended; cover.

Heat to boiling.

Simmer, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes, or until liquid has almost evaporated and cabbage is tender.
