Sweet Potato Pie With Ginger

Prepared pie mix 1/2 Box
Butter 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Sweet potatoes 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) , grated
Milk 1/8 Cup (2 tbs)
Ground ginger 3/4 Teaspoon
Grated orange rind 2 Tablespoon


Line an unbuttered g-inch pie plate with prepared pie mix.

Place pie plate in refrigerator while preparing filling.

Preheat oven to 3000.

Cream butter.

Add sugar.

Continue creaming until light and fluffy.

Gradually add sweet potatoes and milk alternately.

Mix thoroughly.

Add ginger and orange rind.

Mix again.

Pour into prepared pie plate.

Bake in 300 ° oven for 45 minutes, until delicately browned.

Serve piping hot with whipped cream on the side.
