Sweet Sour Cabbage Medley

Red cabbage head 1 Pound (Or 1 Small)
Tart apple 1 Large (Not Pared)
Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
Onion 1 Medium , chopped to make 1/2 cup
Red currant jelly 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon



1) Shred the cabbage head.

2) Halve the apples, then core and dice them.


3) In a large skillet, stir the cabbage, apple, onion, jelly, water, lemon juice and salt in the melted butter or margarine, blend well.

4) Allow to boil, stir occasionally and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the cabbage is tender and the mixture is almost dry.


5) Serve immediately on individual serving plates.
