1. In a medium skillet or saucepan, cook the onion in butter for 5 minutes over medium heat, turning only once. Stir in the cabbage, carrots, and salt.
2. Cover and cook over medium heat for 10 minutes more, until tender, turning only once. Stir in crushed oregano.
