Betty demonstrates how to make the Perfect Loaded Baked Sweet Potato for your Thanksgiving table. Just bake a sweet potato and load it with all of the good toppings that compliment sweet potatoes!
Sweet potato | 1 , rinsed and dried (red) | |
Cooking oil spray | 1 Teaspoon | |
Coarse sea salt | To Taste , ground | |
Ground black peppercorn | To Taste | |
Butter | To Taste | |
Pumpkin pie spice | To Taste | |
Brown sugar | To Taste | |
Toasted chopped pecans | 1 Tablespoon (You may substitute almonds, walnuts, or other nut as needed) | |
Toasted coconut | 1 Tablespoon (as needed) | |
Miniature marshmallow | 1 Tablespoon (as needed) |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
MAKING
2. Spray sweet potato with cooking oil spray and wrap in aluminum foil.
3. Place the potato in a pan and bake for 1 hour or until soft.
4. Remove potato from oven and place on large ovenproof dish. Remove the foil and cut as shown in the video.
5.Place as much salt, pepper, butter, pumpkin pie spice, brown sugar, chopped pecans, toasted coconut, and miniature marshmallows on top of potato.
SERVING
6. Serve and enjoy. You can also place under broiler for about 1 minute if you want the marshmallows melted and browned before serving.
