All the flavors of a black forest cake, put together into a trifle for a simple, no-bake dessert!
Fresh cherries/One 12 ounce bag frozen cherries | 1 Pound , pitted | |
Kirsch | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (cherry liqueur) | |
Chocolate cake | 1 , cut into bite sized piecea (pound cake) | |
Heavy whipping cream | 3 Cup (48 tbs) | |
Powdered sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
Vanilla extract | 1 Tablespoon | |
Fresh cherries/Luxardo / maraschino cherries | 8 | |
Dark chocolate bar | 4 Ounce , grated/ shaved |
GETTING READY:
1.In a large bowl, combine cherries with kirsch and allow to sit for an hour to overnight.
MAKING:
2.Drain cherries and reserve liquid.
3.In an electric mixer, beat whipped cream and add sugar to it.
4.Add vanilla and whip until stiff peaks.
5.Layer as shown in the video and chill in refrigerator for 4-24 hours.
6.Decorate with cherries and chocolate gratings.
