Bacon Wrapped Tofu

Here is a Superbowl snack for your party that is easy to prepare and will be a touchdown with your friends.

Ingredients

Extra firm tofu 8 Ounce , drained and patted dry
Barbecue sauce 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Thick bacon slices 9
Brown sugar 9 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Rest the tofu on a paper towel and press it with a cast iron pan, in between layers of paper towel to remove all moisture.

2. Prepare the grill for cooking.

MAKING

3. Put the tofu in a dish and cover it completely with barbecue sauce. Keep it in the fridge for about an hour.

4. Slice the tofu into slices. Reserve the remaining barbecue sauce for later.

5. Wrap bacon around tofu slices. Place the tofu on the barbecue rack. Sprinkle brown sugar on them.

6. Place the rack over indirect heat onthe grill. Close the lid and cook until the brwon sugar melts.

7. Baste the bacon wrapped tofu slices with the preserved barbecue sauce at regular intervals. Continue to cook for about an hour.

SERVING

8. Arrange the bacon wrapped tofu slices on a platter and serve.
