Onion, Tomato and Cheese Open Toast

If a snack appeals to everyone in the family, it is not only very satisfying but also saves time! The Onion, Tomato and Cheese Open Toast is one such option that appeals to all. Made with readily available ingredients, this quick and easy snack is convenience incarnate as it does not even require an elaborate serving procedure just tomato ketchup will do!


Bread slices 8
Butter 3 Teaspoon (For greasing)
To be mixed into a topping:
Chopped onions 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Chopped tomato 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Grated processed cheese 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Soft butter 2 Tablespoon
Milk 2 Teaspoon
Green chillies 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste



1. Preheat the oven at 180°C.


2. Divide the topping into 8 equal portions and keep aside.

3. Place the bread slices on a clean, dry surface and brush it lightly with little butter and place them on a greased baking tray and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (360°F) for 4 to 5 minutes.

4. Put a portion of the topping on each baked bread slices and spread evenly.

5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C (360°F) for 4 to 5 minutes.


6. Cut the toast into slices and serve immediately with tomato ketchup.
