In the first episode of the new We Heart Food series we show you how to make the take away classic sesame prawn toast. No more waiting for the delivery guy to indulge in this tasty snack.
Sesame seeds | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Prawns | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Crustless bread | 6 | |
Egg | 2 , beaten | |
Salt & pepper | To Taste | |
Oil | 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For deep frying) |
MAKING
1. Place prawns in the blender. Season with salt and pepper. Blend well.
2. Pour the egg gradually and then mix that in as well. Put the mixture in the refrigerator and let it rest for about 30 minutes.
3. Spoon the mixture and spread it over the bread slices.
4. Flip the bread over sesame seeds, press gently such that sesame seeds sticks to the toast. Place the toast back in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan.
6. Deep fry the sesame toast on both sides.
SERVING
7. Slice, garnish with parsley leaves and serve.
