Spiced Green Tea Ice Cream

Ingredients

Half and half 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Green tea 1 Tablespoon (Top
Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Orange 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Whipping cream 1 Pint
Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Lemon peel 1 Teaspoon , freshly grated
Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Ground nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Green food coloring/3 drops liquid food coloring 1 Teaspoon

Directions

In a small saucepan, heat half and half over low heat until hot.

Add tea remove from heat.

Steep 5 minutes.

Strain through a fine strainer into a large bowl.

Discard tea leaves.

Stir sugar and honey into hot mixture until dissolved cool to room temperature.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Chill ice cream base freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions.
