|Green tea||1 Tablespoon (Top|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Orange||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Whipping cream||1 Pint|
|Lemon peel||1 Teaspoon , freshly grated|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Green food coloring/3 drops liquid food coloring||1 Teaspoon|
In a small saucepan, heat half and half over low heat until hot.
Add tea; remove from heat.
Steep 5 minutes.
Strain through a fine strainer into a large bowl.
Discard tea leaves.
Stir sugar and honey into hot mixture until dissolved; cool to room temperature.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Chill ice cream base; freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer's directions.
