Betty's Citrus Mint Tea

Betty demonstrates how to make Citrus-Mint Tea. This is a refreshing fruit-flavored iced tea. It is terrific for summer!

Ingredients

Mint sprigs 12 (fresh)
Tea bags 4 (regular
Boiling water 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Honey 1 Cup (16 tbs) (You may use 1 cup sugar or 1 cup of artificial sweetener.)
Cold water 5 Cup (80 tbs)
Orange juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Lemon juice 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Fresh orange slices 1/2 (for garnish)
Mint sprig 1

Directions

Making

Place mint sprigs and tea bags into a pot.

Add boiling water.

Cover with a lid and let the tea steep for 5 minutes.

Strain the tea through a sieve. Discard tea bags and used mint sprigs.

Place the concentrated tea in a container large enough to contain 10 cups.

Add honey, and stir until it dissolves.

Add cold water, orange juice, and lemon juice, and stir well.

Serving

Place ice in a glass. Pour Citrus-Mint Tea over ice. Garnish with fresh orange and mint.
