Betty demonstrates how to make Citrus-Mint Tea. This is a refreshing fruit-flavored iced tea. It is terrific for summer!
|Mint sprigs||12 (fresh)|
|Tea bags||4 (regular|
|Boiling water||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Honey||1 Cup (16 tbs) (You may use 1 cup sugar or 1 cup of artificial sweetener.)|
|Cold water||5 Cup (80 tbs)|
|Orange juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1/4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fresh orange slices||1/2 (for garnish)|
Place mint sprigs and tea bags into a pot.
Add boiling water.
Cover with a lid and let the tea steep for 5 minutes.
Strain the tea through a sieve. Discard tea bags and used mint sprigs.
Place the concentrated tea in a container large enough to contain 10 cups.
Add honey, and stir until it dissolves.
Add cold water, orange juice, and lemon juice, and stir well.
Place ice in a glass. Pour Citrus-Mint Tea over ice. Garnish with fresh orange and mint.
