FRIED TACOS!!! - How To Make Deep Fried Tacos

Learn how to make Deep Fried Tacos (inspired by - but way better than - the tacos at Jack in the Box). This is a very specific type of taco -- a taco which is filled first and then fried, resulting in a perfectly crisp taco shell and a filling that is almost roasted around the edges. And they are so, so, SO good. Savory, delicate, and somehow ephemeral in that before you can blink, they will all be gone.


Lean ground beef/Turkey 1/2 Pound
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Grated onion 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Chili powder 2 Teaspoon
Tomato paste 1 Tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm) , minced
Dried oregano 1 Pinch
Masa 2 Tablespoon
Oil 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) (For deep frying)
Corn tortillas 8
Toppings 1 Cup (16 tbs) (American cheese slices, shredded lettuce, hot sauce)
