Incredibly delicious shrimp tacos - my spicy shrimp in an orange-tequila sauce are gonna blow ya mind!!!!
Shrimp | 1/2 Pound , shelled, deveined, pat dried (31 | |
Ground cumin | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Chili powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
Minced garlic | 1 Teaspoon (about 2 cloves) | |
Habanero chili pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon , minced (or less) | |
Orange juice | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
Thinly sliced green onions | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (about 3 large) | |
Tequila | 1 Ounce | |
Toppings | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (diced radish, cucumber, avocado, onion, cilantro) | |
Tortillas | 2 |
MAKING:
In a bowl, combine shrimps, salt, cumin, chili powder and toss well. Set aside.
Heat a skillet with oil until smoking.
Place shrimps in a single layer and cook for 60-90 seconds. Turn gently once done and cook the other side too.
Add garlic, habanero, orange juice, lemon juice and shake well.
Add green onions, tequila and stir well.
Cook for 30 seconds or until sauce thickens and serve right away over tortillas garnished with desired toppings.
