In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Fresh Strawberry Syrup. This syrup is delicious with pancakes, waffles, cubes of pound cake or angel food cake, as well as ice cream desserts.
Strawberries | 1 Cup (16 tbs) , washed, chopped | |
Water | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Sugar/Stevia | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (or to taste) |
MAKING
1. In a saucepan, combine strawberries with water and boil for 10 minutes over low heat, stirring occasionally.
2. Strain and press through a sieve and then add sugar. Boil for another 5-8 minutes over low flame.
SERVING
3. Serve warm syrup over vanilla ice cream or scones and enjoy!
