Betty demonstrates how to make Fresh Strawberry Milk. This drink is made by mixing cold milk with a syrup that is made from fresh strawberries.

Thinly sliced strawberries 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cold milk 5 Cup (80 tbs) (use as needed)
Mint leaves 5 (for garnish)

In a small saucepan, stir together strawberries, sugar, and water.

Bring to a boil over medium heat.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

The mixture will thicken slightly.

Pour strawberry mixture through a sieve into a small bowl.

Use the cooked strawberries for a different purpose.

Cover the bowl of strawberry syrup with plastic wrap and chill for about 2 hours.

To make a single serving of Fresh Strawberry Milk, pour 1 cup cold milk in a glass and stir in 4 tablespoons of strawberry syrup. Place a mint leaf at the top of the glass and serve immediately.
