Dilly Flank Steak

Ingredients

Wine vinegar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Oil 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Water 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Instant onion flakes 1 Tablespoon
Dried dill 1/4 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 1/8 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/8 Teaspoon
Flank steak 2 Pound
Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
Sugar 1 1/2 Teaspoon

Directions

Combine vinegar, oil, 1/4 cup water, onion, dill, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Place flank steak in shallow glass dish.

Pour vinegar-oil mixture over steak.

Cover; let stand 2 to 3 hours.

Drain steak; remove to broiling pan, reserving marinade.

Broil in oven or over grill about 5 minutes on one side and 4 minutes on other side for rare steak.

Remove to heated serving platter.

Combine cornstarch, sugar and remaining water with reserved marinade.

Add to drippings in broiler pan.

Cook, Stirring constantly, until mixture boils and is thickened.

To serve, slice steakthin diagonally to the grain; top with sauce.
