This is a great recipe for those of you who enjoy the slightly bitter tang of Dijon mustard. This steak is great with vegetables for supper, or on a bun as a sandwich for lunch. You can fry this stovetop in a grill pan, over charcoal on your backyard grill.

Ingredients

Bourbon 50 Milliliter (1/4 cup)
Dijon mustard 50 Milliliter (1/4 cup)
Packed brown sugar 50 Milliliter (1/4 cup)
Worcestershire sauce 20 Milliliter (4 teaspoon)
Coarse salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Freshly ground black pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Flank steak 500 Gram

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In a small bowl, combine bourbon, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Whisk well.

2. In a shallow dish, pour the marinade and place the steak in it. Flip and coat well. Allow to marinate for at least ½ hour or up to 24 hours.

MAKING

3. Heat a fry pan or outdoor BBQ to medium high and cook steak in it for 5 to 6 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 130 degree F for medium rare.

4. Remove to a cutting board, tent with foil and let rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. Pour the remaining marinade and deglaze the pan. Stir and cook to create a pan sauce.

6. Season with additional salt and pepper.

SERVING

7. Slice steak thinly across the grain and serve with sauce.

TIPS

Marinate steak at room temperature for ½ hour, if more then cover and pop it in refrigerator.
