Lubys Sausage Steak

Lubys Sausage Steak is a sausage steak that is topped with melted cheddar cheese, crisp bacon, and scallions. Sausage hasnt been served for breakfast like this before.

Ingredients

Ground sausage 1 Pound
Cheddar cheese 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , shredded
Bacon 1/4 Pound , crisped (chopped into small pieces)
Green onions 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , thinly sliced
Beef broth 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Divide ground sausage into approximately six patties.

2. Shape the patties into oblong pieces.

3. Place sausage into a 9 by 13 inch baking dish.

MAKING

4. Take a dish and cover the bottom with beef broth.

5. Broil the sausage patties in the oven. Follow the directions on your oven's broiler, on high this may only take 10-13 minutes.

6. Make sure the sausage is completely done.

7. Top with cheese, green onions, and bacon.

8. Place sausage steaks back into the oven for approximately one or two minutes to allow the cheese to melt.

SERVING

9. Serve right away.
