Skillet Flank Steak

Ingredients

Flank steak 1 1/2 Pound
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Soft bread crumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Chopped onion 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Poultry seasoning 1 Teaspoon
Chopped celery 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Melted crisco 4 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1 Sprinkle the steak with some salt.

2 Add the remaining salt to the stuffing.

3 In a bowl, add bread crumbs, celery, seasoning and melted Crisco.Mix well

4 Evenly spread over steak.

5 Rolling the steak from short end secure with metal skewers and sew together with string.

MAKING

6 In an electric frying pan add 3 tablespoon melted shortning.

7 Remove the skewers from the steak and brown in the frying pan.

8 Brown steak all over in 350° Fahrenheit skillet turning several times.

9 Add in 1 cup water and reduce the skillet to 225 degrees Fahrenheit.

10 Cover and simmer for 90 minutes.

11 Frequently baste with the gravy turning several times.

12 Little more water will be needed from time to time.

SERVING

13 Serve cold, or thicken the gravy slightly and serve hot.
