Flank Steak With Candied Shallots

Butter 2 Teaspoon
French shallots 16 , halved
Hot mustard 2 Teaspoon
Port wine 4 Ounce
Beef broth 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
Flank steaks 28 Ounce (4 Pieces, 7 Ounce Each)
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste


In a small saucepan, melt butter.

Cook shallots 5 minutes.


Stir in mustard and port.

Over high heat, reduce liquid by half.

Add broth to saucepan.

Bring to a boil.

Reduce by half.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Meanwhile, in a frying pan, heat oil.

Cook steaks on both sides.

Transfer steaks to individual plates.

Garnish with shallot halves.

Coat with port sauce.
