Butternut squash 1 , peeled, deseeded, cut into 1
Melted butter 6 Tablespoon
Light brown sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , firmly packed
Freshly ground sea salt To Taste
Freshly ground black peppercorns To Taste

1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.

2. Place a medium sized pot on medium flame, and melt butter in it. Remove pot from the heat.

3. Add brown sugar and stir it in.

4. Drop squash pieces, and mix to coat them with butter and brown sugar mixture.

5. Season it with salt and ground peppercorn. Mix well.

6. Into a 13x9-inch baking dish, transfer the brown sugar coated squash pieces and sauce, if any left in pot. Spread it evenly.

7. Cover the dish with aluminium foil.

8. Place the dish in oven, and bake for about 40-50 minutes or until squash pieces are fork tender. Lift the foil and stir occasionally while baking.

9. Transfer baked squash to a nice serve platter, and serve immediately.

You can double the measurements, if needed.

You can drain off extra butter before serving or serve it along with it.
