Tip and technique - cooking brussels sprouts

In this video I show you how to cook brussels sprouts. This quick and simple method will have you asking for more.


Brussel spouts 1 1/2 Pound , cleaned and halved or quartered
Extra virgin olive oil 2 Tablespoon
Sea salt 3/4 Teaspoon
Grains of paradise 1/2 Teaspoon
Red onion 1/2 , thinly sliced
Garlic clove 2 , minced
Earth balance 2 Tablespoon
Fresh lemon juice 1/2



In a sauté pan, heat the oil on high heat. Add Brussels sprouts, salt and grains of paradise. Sauté for about a minute.

Add onions and cook until Brussels sprouts are brown. Stir occasionally.

Brown the garlic and continue cooking Brussels sprouts.

When Brussels sprouts are brown and tender then add earth balance and lemon juice.

Toss until butter is melted.


Serve as side dish or main dish.
