How to make tres leches cake. This Tres Leches Cake recipe is possibly the BEST cake on the planet.

Ingredients

Cake flour 6 3/4 Cup (108 tbs) , divided to 1½ cups + 3 tablespoons (plus an extra tablespoon for flouring the cake pan)
Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Butter 4 Ounce , softened (1/2 cup)
Sugar 8 Ounce (1 cup)
Eggs 5 (at room temperature)
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
For three milks:
Half and half/Whole milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Canned evaporated milk 12 Ounce (1 can)
Canned sweetened condensed milk 14 Ounce (1 can)
For topping:
Heavy cream 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon (optional)
Chopped fruits 1 Cup (16 tbs) (strawberries, peaches, and mango)

Directions

GETTING READY:

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Grease baking pans with butter and dust with flour.

 

MAKING:

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and mix well.

In another bowl, cream butter with an electric mixer until fluffy.

Add sugar, eggs (one at a time), vanilla extract and mix well.

Add flour mixture in batches and mix until slightly glossy.

Spread the mixture into pan and pop into pan. Bake for 25 minutes and once done, allow to cool for 30 minutes.

In a pitcher, combine whole milk, evaporated milk and condensed milk and mix well.

Poke holes in a cake using skewer as shown in the video and pour the milk mixture over it.

Cover the cake with a plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

In a bowl, whip heavy cream with sugar and vanilla. Beat until stiff peaks.

Spread the mixture over cake and garnish with desired fruits.
