Check out this easy to make from scratch aioli flavored with an Argentine Chimichirri sauce. I used this for out Superbowl Tri-tip steak sliders.
For homemade mayonnaise | ||
Egg yolks | 2 | |
Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
White wine vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Salt | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
Dijon mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
Canola oil | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Olive oil | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
For sauce | ||
Flat leaf parsley | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Fresh oregano | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Salt | 1 Pinch | |
Crushed red pepper | 1 Pinch | |
Red wine vinegar | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Garlic cloves | 4 |
MAKING
For Homemade Mayo:
1. In blender, add egg yolk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt, mustard, canola oil, and olive oil. Blend until creamy. Set aside.
For Sauce:
2. In blender, pulse parsley, oregano, salt, and crushed red pepper.
3. Add red wine vinegar and garlic. Pulse well.
FINALIZING
4. Into the homemade mayo add 5 heaping teaspoons of homemade chimichurri sauce.
SERVING
5. Serve on tri tip sliders and enjoy!
