Moqueca! Brazilian Soup

Making Moqueca with Tuany! Moqueca is a DELICIOUS Brazilian seafood soup that literally takes about 15 minutes to make. It's a healthy and fast dinner recipe that you will love.

Ingredients

White fish/Shrimp 1 Pound
Garlic 5 Clove (25 gm)
Onion 1 Large ((white or yellow))
Green bell pepper 1
Tomatoes 2
Dende oil 1 Tablespoon ((palm oil))
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/2 Teaspoon
Cumin 1/2 Teaspoon
Tomato sauce 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Coconut milk 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) ((15 ounce can))
Lime juice 2 Tablespoon ((from 1 lime))
Chopped cilantro 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Cooked white rice 2 Cup (32 tbs) ((for serving))

Directions

MAKING:                        

Heat a large pot with oil and saute onions in it until softened.

Add peppers, tomato, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper and saute for 60 seconds.

Add tomato sauce, coconut milk, lime juice and cover with lid.

Bring to boil and stir in seafood and cilantro.

Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until cooked.

Adjust salt and lime to taste.

 

SERVING:                       

Serve with white rice and enjoy!
