Spinach and carrot soup, a palak delicacy enriched with wheat germ to make up for the necessary vitamin a and e for healthy vision and glowing skin.


Butter 1 Teaspoon
Finely chopped onion 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Chopped carrot 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , parboiled
Chopped spinach 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Milk 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Salt and ground black pepper To Taste
Wheat germ 2 Tablespoon



1. Place a non-stick pan over medium flame, heat butter, and saute onion for 2 minutes or until translucent.

2. Add carrot, saute for another 2 minutes and then add spinach. Pour 1 cup of water, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.

3. Add milk, salt, pepper and wheat germ. Stir occasionally and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Remove the pan from heat and set aside to cool slightly.

4. Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.

5. Pour the mixture back into the pan and bring to boil.


6. Serve hot with bread sticks or croutons.
