Cabbage and Carrot Soup

"Soup for the soul" - a phrase that rightly suites this warm hearty dish. Vegetable soup is a common appetizer and can be made with a variety of vegetables. It's easy, hearty and the perfect way to keep you warm on a cold day!!

Ingredients

Cabbage 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Carrot 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Onion 1 Medium
Ginger pieces 1/2 Teaspoon
Garlic pieces 1/2 Teaspoon
Butter 1/2 Teaspoon
Lentil stock 4 Cup (64 tbs)
Coriander powder 1 Teaspoon
Pepper powder 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Coriander powder 3 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste

Directions

MAKING

1.Heat butter in a thick bottomed vessel and add all the ingredients except the lentil stock and stir fry it for a minute.

2.Add the lentil stock and simmer it on a low flame until the quantity of the stock reduces to half.

SERVING

3.Serve it hot.
