Ground italian pork sausage | 1 Pound | |
Onion | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped | |
Green pepper | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped | |
Water | 4 1/4 Cup (68 tbs) , divided | |
Italian seasoning | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Garlic powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Dried basil | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Dried rosemary | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Pizza sauces | 30 Ounce (2 jars of 15 Oz each) | |
Tomatoes | 2 , chopped | |
Pepperoni | 6 Ounce , chopped | |
For garnish | ||
Shredded mozzarella cheese | 2 Tablespoon | |
Chopped mushrooms | 2 Tablespoon |
MAKING
1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground Italian pork sausage and drain.
2. Add in onion, green pepper and ¼ cup of water, and cook until tender.
3. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, dried basil, dried rosemary, salt and pepper and stir to mix and set aside.
4. In a large saucepan over medium heat, put together pizza sauce, remaining water, tomatoes, pepperoni and sausage mixture, bring to a boil.
5. Once the mixture starts to boil, reduce the heat to medium low and simmer for about 15 minutes.
SERVING
6. Serve hot topped with shredded cheese and chopped mushrooms.
