Cantaloupe Craze Smoothie

This is a tasty cantaloup smoothie recipe using a Blendtec or Vitamix blender. You may not think of cantaloupe as the most appropriate smoothie ingredient, but give it a try for something different. Cantaloupe smoothies are great for helping you feel full as they are packed with fiber and water. They are low in calories and very nutritious. Also, when you have a high powered blender, you'll want to leave the SEEDS in the cantaloupe as they are packed with FIBER, and have MORE PROTEIN pound for pound than meat does! Make it a dairy free smoothie by using a milk substitute of your choice.


Milk/Milk substitute 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Cantaloupe 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) , diced
Oranges 2 Medium , peeled
Honey 2 Teaspoon
Ice 2 Cup (32 tbs)



1. In the blendtec combine the milk, cantaloupe (including seeds for added protein), oranges, honey and ice.

2. Press the smoothie button on the blendtec.

3. Blend until smooth to desired consistency.


4. Serve the Cantaloupe Craze Smoothie chilled.


If using a vitamix start off with speed 1 and slowly increase to speed 10 and then flip to high.
