In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make a Chia Seed Green Smoothie. This recipe came from an article in the Lexington Herald Leader Newspaper, March 21, 2013. The article gives three recipes for using the nutritious chia seed. One of the recipes, Chia Seed Muffins, has already appeared in bettyskitchen.
Chia seeds | 1 Tablespoon | |
Coconut water/Pear juice/water | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) (or a mixture) | |
Kale leaves/Romaine leaves | 3 , chop | |
Cucumber | 1 Small , peeled, chop | |
Parsley sprig | 3 |
MAKING
1. In blender, add chia seeds, coconut water, romaine leaves, cucumber, and parsley. Blend until smooth.
SERVING
2. Pour in a tall smoothie glass and serve immediately.
