Butter | 125 Gram , chilled and cut into cubes | |
Castor sugar | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Super Fine White Sugar) | |
Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
Egg | 1 | |
Plain flour | 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) | |
Corn flour | 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) (corn starch) | |
Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
Milk | 2 Tablespoon | |
Fruit mince | 410 Gram |
GETTING READY:
Preheat oven to 190°C.
Grease and line baking pan.
MAKING:
In a food processor, combine butter, castor sugar and process until smooth.
Add egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, milk, plain flour, corn flour and process until it turns into a dough.
Cover with a cling film and chill for 30 minutes.
Divide the dough into equal halves and spread one half into greased baking pan.
Spread fruit mince over it and spread well.
Top with remaining dough to cover filling.
Prick holes on top and sprinkle white sugar over it.
Chill for 30 minutes.
Slice as shown in the video and pop into oven.
Bake for 30-35 minutes.
