How To Make Chocolate Chip Shortbread

Shortbread is my all-time favorite cookie. I love the flaky, buttery texture the cookie has, while crisp and sweet just to the taste. Dont get me wrong, they taste excellent slightly crunchier at room temperature too.


Unsalted butter 3/4 Cup (12 tbs) (at room temperature)
All purpose flour 1 3/4 Cup (28 tbs)
Confectioners' sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Miniature chocolate chips 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)



Preheat oven to 350°F/160°C.

Grease baking pans with butter.



In a bowl, beat together butter, vanilla extract and sugar.

In another bowl, combine flour with salt and mix well. Add butter mixture and mix well.

Add chocolate chips until well combined.

Press the mixture into bottom of greased pan and  make cuts with knife.

Pop into oven and bake for 20-30 minutes. Once done, allow to cool completely.



Serve and enjoy!
