Fig and Apricot Shake (Pregnancy and Calcium Rich Recipe)

Fig and Apricot Shake is best had early in the morning for breakfast as your body conserves more nutrients at this time of the day. Packed with iron, fibre, calcium, vitamin A, natural sugar and protein, these dry fruits will provide you with energy and will also satiate your hunger.


Dried figs slices 5
Dried apricot 4 , deseeded and chopped
Milk 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs)
Ice cubes 5 (4
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Warm water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)



1. Soak the figs and apricots in cup of warm milk for at least hour.


2. In blender, add soaked figs and apricots (with the milk), remaining 1 cup of milk, ice-cubes and sugar. Blend until smooth and frothy.

3. Pour equal quantities of the shake into 2 individual glasses.


4. Serve immediately garnished with almonds.
